Step 4: Login to WordPress

This short lesson will show you how to login to your WordPress admin area. This is where you’ll be able to customise your WordPress website installation, add and update content and pages.

Access the admin login page

To access the WordPress admin login page, just add /wp-admin/ to the end of your domain in the address bar, so it looks something like this http://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin/

Type in your Username and Password (the one you entered in Fantastico) and click the Log In button.

Look at the WordPress Dashboard

When you login, you’ll be taken to the WordPress dashboard that will look similar to this. It may seem a little overwhelming to start with, but stick with it, in the coming lessons I’ll show you around and help you get to know WordPress.
